WALKING TWO WORLDS
Kaya Wanjoo (Welcome)

Walking in Two Worlds, pushes towards true equality and reconciliation for a better place for generations to come.

South West Kinships Cultural Immersions is a proudly First Nations–owned and led organisation delivering high-quality, culturally grounded experiences across Western Australia. Our work brings together Elders, Knowledge Holders, educators and community leaders to create safe, authentic and transformative cultural immersion programs for organisations, schools, tourism bodies, community groups, corporate teams, and visitors from across the globe.

Founded and culturally led by Sharon Wood-Kenney, South West Kinships Cultural Immersions is built upon deep cultural knowledge, intergenerational storytelling, and long-standing relationships with community. Our programs offer participants a meaningful pathway to understand Country, connect with culture, and build respectful, ongoing relationships that move far beyond a single experience.

At the heart of our organisation is Sharon Wood-Kenney, a respected Noongar woman, Cultural Navigation Leader, educator, advocate, and award-winning community innovator with decades of experience in cultural leadership, national programs, community development and cross-cultural learning.

Her lived experience, combined with her professional capability, positions her as one of Western Australia’s leading cultural educators, making South West Kinships Cultural Immersions the foremost provider of deep, place-based First Nations learning in the region.

As a First Nations-led enterprise, South West Kinships Cultural Immersions honours the knowledge of our Elders, the stories of our ancestors, and the future of our young people. Our focus is always on Caring for people, Caring for Country, and walking with partners in genuine connection, respect and shared responsibility.

Our vision is to empower people to understand their place, their identity and their relationship with Country, building a culturally confident Western Australia where everyone is supported to walk together.
